Privacy Policy

This is the privacy policy for Tickle the Pig, operated by Brian Broeking ("we"). We tried to keep this short and plain — no dark patterns, no tracking, no ads.

What we collect

• Account info: the username you choose, and the Apple Sign-In identifier we get when you log in. If you used Apple's Hide My Email, we only see the relay address — never your real one.
• Gameplay data: tickle counts, friends list, trade history, blessings and curses sent or received, equipped cosmetics, season + bounty progress, alignment score, achievements.
• Push notification token: an anonymous device token from Apple Push Notification Service so we can deliver in-app event notifications. You can revoke this anytime in iOS Settings.
• Crash and performance logs: when the app crashes or hits a slow path, we log a stack trace + your user ID via Sentry so we can fix the bug. No personal device identifiers beyond what's needed to dedupe issues.

We do not collect: location, contacts, photos, microphone audio, payment data, advertising identifiers (IDFA), browsing history outside the app, or any analytics beyond crash/performance logs.

How we use it

• Run the game (show your stats, friends, leaderboards, bounties, season progress).
• Deliver push notifications for in-app events you opted into.
• Fix bugs and improve performance via crash logs.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for behavioral profiling.

Who we share it with

A few third-party service providers. Their privacy policies apply alongside this one:

• Supabase — database + authentication hosting. supabase.com/privacy
• Apple App Store / TestFlight — distribution + Sign in with Apple. apple.com/legal/privacy
• Sentry — crash and performance reporting. sentry.io/privacy
• Expo / EAS — push notification delivery + build infrastructure. expo.dev/privacy

None of these are used to track you across other apps or websites. We do not sell your data, ever.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your row + all related rows (friendships, trades, blessings, curses, owned items, season progress, achievements) within 30 days. Crash logs retained by Sentry are auto-purged after 90 days.

Your rights

• See your data: email us and we'll send you a JSON dump of everything we have.
• Delete your account: email us from the address on file. We delete within 30 days; the deletion is permanent.
• Push notifications: revoke anytime in iOS Settings → Notifications → Tickle the Pig.

Children

The App is rated 4+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13, and the App is not directed at children under 13. If a parent believes their child has provided information to us, they should email us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if anything material changes. The effective date at the top will reflect the latest version. Material changes will also be announced in-app on next launch.
